Coordinated by the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Charles Scalabrinians, was constituted in October 2010 in Santos, Brazil. SMSN promotes the welfare of seafarers and fishers. It currently encompasses fourteen Stella Maris centers and offices located in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
In South America, the network includes Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and Santos), Uruguay (Montevideo), Argentina (Buenos Aires), and two new offices in Chile (Arica), in Central America includes Guatemala (Izabal), and the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. In Europe, the Stella Maris office is located in Italy (Ravenna). In Asia, the presence of the Stella Maris is extended in the Philippines (Manila and Quezon City), Taiwan (Taipei, Kaohsiung), Indonesia (Batan) and Japan (Tokyo). In South Africa, the apostleship of the sea office is located in Cape Town.
